Greenwich parents urged to be on alert after possible abduction attempt
There is a warning for parents in Greenwich Thursday as police investigate what they are calling a suspicious incident. Police say a man in a green mini-van approached and ran after two 8-year-old girls in Byram on Sunday. Although the man did not try to lure the girls in the car, police say he did approach the girls who ran into the bushes and eventually into a house on Hartford Avenue. Police do not believe this is the same green mini-van related to a series of abduction attempts in 2004. They have alerted schools in the area and are warning parents to be on alert.
