Greenwich police release description of man who approached and held Eastern Middle School student

It happened just after 8 a.m. on Lockwood Road at Breezemont Avenue near the school's tennis courts. The man held the student for several seconds before letting go.

Greenwich police have released a picture of the man who is accused of grabbing an Eastern Middle School student Thursday while on their way to school.

It happened just after 8 a.m. on Lockwood Road at Breezemont Avenue near the school's tennis courts.

The man held the student for several seconds before letting go.

Police describe the man as being of medium height and was wearing a black hat, black sunglasses, dark colored top and light-colored shorts.

They also released a photograph of the car he was seen getting into.

Anyone with information or video surveillance footage from the area of Lockwood Road between Riverside and Sound Beach Avenues is asked to contact the department's special victim section at 203-622-8030 or their tip line at 203-622-3333.
