A new Quinnipiac University poll released Monday shows that the race for the Democratic party's nomination for governor is getting a bit closer.
New Haven Mayor John DeStefano now leads by seven percent over Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy -- 48 percent to 41 percent. DeStefano had a 48 percent to 38 percent lead in last week's poll.
As the poll tightens, the candidates are making last minute stops, trying to gain momentum into Tuesday's primary. DeStefano says he will spend the full final day of the campaign on a statewide bus tour pushing his platform ? the issues that families that are working for a living face every day.
