Into news. 12 New York for your weather too because we're gonna have a lot of updates coming up over the next couple of days as we are on storm watch, heading towards the weekend, rain is gonna be an issue. Let's check in with storm watch teams. Hoo sei right now to find out how much of an issue it's gonna be. Yeah, Kurt, you know, we're dealing with the rain and we're also dealing with the high wind. So here's the top stories through the weekend. So we're dealing with a nice warm up. That's something that you can enjoy. In the meantime, Friday and Saturday, Gusty storms are to follow on our Sunday and then falling temperatures by Monday. So let's get into the next couple of days high as tomorrow near 48 degrees, 55 on, on Saturday and then 61 on Sunday. But look where those temperatures crash mid to upper forties on our Monday and even cooler by the midweek. But again, we're talking about the rain. That's why we are on storm watch. Again. We're tracking some steady rainfall arriving Sunday afternoon and even taking us into Monday morning. So let's time it out on your future Cast Sunday, it is gonna start off dry. Then we see those temperatures climbing into the upper fifties. Low sixties, some light rain start then a random and, and then it starts to pick up in intensity by the evening hours. So this is around midnight. You're seeing temperatures still near 60 degrees and you're seeing the darker shades of green and yellow, good indicated for some soaking rain And even the high winds will start picking up in intensity through this time frame. But look how quickly those temperatures crash from the sixties to the mid forties by Monday morning. Even though that the rain is pushing out of here, we're still gonna be dealing with some standing water and some gusty winds. So your Monday morning commute will still be impacted Monday afternoon. It is drier temperatures in the mid to upper forties, even cooler by Monday evening. But again, back to those high winds, 40 to 50 MPH really going to be any concern as well as the rain. We're talking about 1 to 2.5 inches of rainfall. It's all good and I don't mean Rainbow.

Back in my day. All right, let's see where the forecast is headed. As we go into the weekend, we've got rain. We have wind and a lot of it. Now, the timing of it is going to be critical. Most of the storminess that we're anticipating for Sunday is going to happen very late Sunday night into early Monday morning, the weekend is salvageable. Saturday is great and warm. We just see a little bit more cloud coverage. The first part of Sunday, up until about maybe three, four o'clock in the afternoon should be dry. Then the showers start and become steadier and heavier when all is said and done. We're likely going to pick up between 1 to 2 inches of rain in our rain gauges and a lot of that is going to happen very quickly and then the winds are picking up also. So it's a wind driven rain and if we do approach wind gusts of 4045 maybe even 50 miles an hour and it lasts for a couple of hours occasionally hitting those gusts, not, it's not gonna be a 34 hour sustained 40 or 50 mile an hour. Wind gust, it's periodically happening, but that's the type of wind that could get the power to flicker from time to time. We're at 39 dropping down to about 32. The opportunity for rain is going to be Sunday night into Monday morning, Saturday is looking great. Sunday afternoon is ok. It's cloudy but you'll be able to feel it in the air that the rain is certainly going to be building. So for tonight, temperatures, twenties and thirties with just a few clouds around Friday is gorgeous with sunshine. Temperatures are back up into the upper forties. We look at the extended forecast and as I mentioned, Saturday is warm but clouds are building Sunday morning, early Sunday afternoon, cloudy dry that changes going into Sunday night into early Monday morning. Give yourself a lot of extra time in that Monday morning routine to potentially deal with some travel headaches, getting wherever you go, the rain and the wind are gone for next week, the sunshine is back out but the cold that returns with morning lows in the twenties and thirties, daytime highs in the lower forties.

Well, the weekend I could smell it already Addison. But so is the storm that's brewing right on the horizon? What are we looking at in terms of those weekend plans? Is it gonna be a washout? Thankfully not Nikita, I think uh weekend plans should go on. No problems whatsoever for Saturday, Sunday. Not so much, right? Not so much. Let me just go ahead and step aside. You can see what I'm talking about because Sunday right here is something to stand out as a day that we have to be maybe staying inside versus going out and about especially for the evening hours, 100% chance right there for seeing rain Saturday though dry, I think even Saturday night as well. First part of Sunday before noon, I think dry as well. Then after that all bets are off for you trying to stay dry and be outside because here is what you can be expecting for Sunday to Monday. A storm system moving on this way, giving us batches of moder to heavy rain at times, gusts could go 30 to 50 plus MPH. So there may be some isolated flood concerns depending upon where you are in the Hudson Valley area. Those usual lowly air, they get a little bit of some rain can sometimes see some flooding. Yeah, you know those spots. So moving towards your Futurecast 930 in the morning on Sunday, since Saturday will be gorgeous. Let's go towards Sunday. We start the day off with partly to mostly cloudy skies. There's a system in question coming on in from the west going towards lunchtime, still looking pretty good. Just have rain showers just on our doorstep afterwards though, towards 2 to 4 o'clock, here comes the rain light to moderate at first, just more scattered showers than anything else. But see these yellow lines, those are called Isobars lines of equal pressure. The more of them we have and we're closely tight to get tacked together, shows us a strong windfield. We're gonna be seeing wind gusts coming out of a south westerly direction around 20 to 30 MPH sustained gusts going higher than that toss in some moderate to heavy downpours and may get some brief gusts of 40 to 50 plus MPH that time frame right there towards three o'clock in the morning or so. Our system starts to pull away from us after Monday morning's commute, but we can still nonetheless deal with some gusts going on in towards o'clock. You see 3040 plus MPH, even maybe some spots close to 50 as you look out there for that rainfall potential. It's gonna be adding on up, maybe about 1 to 2 injuries or so. But we're gonna be seeing on storm system that's all the way on the west coast head over this way over time. But for the time being, it's just cold out there, we have to deal with temperatures running a little bit below average for the rest of the night. Tomorrow starts improving and then we see temperatures in the fifties and rising after that with the rain chances as well.

We have some interesting weather developing over the next few days, changing seasons, basically. And by the time we get to Sunday, it's going to be warmer but rainy and windy. So much rain, about 2 to 3 inches could fall that that may lead to some flooding. We may also have some damaging winds. Winds could gust as high as about 50 miles an hour and that's enough to possibly cause some power outages. So make sure all your devices are charged that knock down or destroy some of those holiday decorations. So please secure the objects outside your home if you can before Sunday. And then we want to watch the coast for some title flooding during our high tide cycle coming in Sunday into Monday. Now, tomorrow it's a chilly start to the morning but a better finish. Much warmer by the afternoon, winds are generally, I don't foresee any major issues on the roads due to the weather. Enjoy the day because it's quiet temperatures in the forties. So you still need some nice warm layers, but you really don't need the heavy duty winter coat. You will need the umbrellas and all that rain gear. Waking up Monday morning from that storm coming in late Sunday, temperatures are going to crash after that. Highs back into the forties and lows in the twenties next week.

Ok. Ok. We've got some, uh, kind of ugly stuff moving in but the weekend's gonna be kind of warm most of it for most of it, which is the good takeaway from this is that we are looking for majority of the next few days to be fine. It's just really gonna be our Sunday afternoon and evening hours where we're gonna have to just be weather aware. So what we need to know we're looking at Friday. Not bad. It's gonna actually be a warmer start to a trend that's gonna get even better. By the time we get into our Saturday, Saturday, we're still on the dry end. Temperatures will start to warm into the middle fifties and then Sunday, we're going to be near 60 degrees if not at the 60 degree mark. But that's also when we're gonna be looking at the storm system to move in from a Sunday afternoon into our Monday morning. So around at dinner time or even early into our afternoon is when we're gonna be anticipating to see some rain from the storm system to move its way across to Long Island. Now, early parts of our Sunday, it's mainly going to be light rain. But as we get to the overnight transitioning into early Monday morning, heavy rainfall is going to start to develop for us just into around the five o'clock mark, which is going to lead into our early Monday morning. So we could see between 1 to 2 inches of rainfall by the time the event is over with and gusty winds from 30 to 40 MPH. The good news is though, once we're into our Monday afternoon, it looks to clear up for us, but until we get there overnight, it's partly cloudy cold conditions, temperatures just a degree or two below freezing or at the freezing point. Again, Friday and Saturday, you're not gonna need the heavy coats but still gonna be nice and chilly. At least until we get into our Saturday, quiet conditions heading into our Friday for us. Plenty of sunshine, cloud cover will move in for Saturday and then for Sunday into Monday, we're gonna be monitoring that storm system.
