A new bill allows lawsuits against gun makers who fail to limit dangerous access to guns, according to state lawmakers.
The Firearm Industry Responsibility Act, passed after a 12-hour debate, targets manufacturers not using "reasonable controls" to keep guns, ghost gun parts, and ammunition from dangerous individuals, lawmakers said.
The bill now awaits Gov. Ned Lamont’s approval.
