Students from Harding High School showed their appreciation on the East End of Bridgeport today by painting dozens of fire hydrants across the community.
Harding High School's wrestling team was falling victim to the budget ax.
Interim Superintendent Fran Rabinowitz told News 12 that they could no longer afford to fund the wrestling team and all their activities throughout the year.
As a response, members of the school's wrestling team got together with the help of their coach and decided to start privately raising money.
The team's coach says that the donations started pouring in and before they knew it they were well on the road to saving their wrestling team.
