An injured hawk is now in recovery after being rescued by Danbury firefighters.
The rescue happened on Feb. 15.
Fire officials say the bird has a fractured wing.
The nonprofit Christine's Critters posted photos on Facebook.
They say a BB gun likely caused the injury, emphazing that it's "illegal to shoot these protected birds."
