Two men were killed Thursday morning after their car was crushed by a tanker truck on I-95 in Bridgeport.
State troopers say the car was traveling south on the northbound side of I-95 near exit 28 when it crashed head-on into the tanker. Firefighters were forced to cut off the roof of the car to get the two men out. The driver and his passenger, whose names have not yet been released, had already died. Police are now waiting for autopsy results to determine if alcohol or fatigue could have been a factor.
Police re-opened the highway after it was closed for about six hours.
