Orange police say a speeding car ran a red light Wednesday night and crashed into another car.
Officers say the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lampert and Boston Post roads.
They say the driver of the speeding car fled the vehicle and then took off on foot.
Officers were unable to find the suspect and recovered a loaded gun with a high-capacity magazine while searching.
They also say they found a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car.
Three people in the suspect's car and two in the other car were all taken to the hospital for their injuries.
