Police say three people were rushed to the hospital Friday night after a car plowed into the group standing outside a Bronx Laundromat.
According to witnesses, a car heard screeching made a sharp left turn onto Washington Avenue when it lost control. The car slammed into three people standing outside a 24-hour Laudromat on the corner of Washington Avenue and East 185th Street. One person was thrown almost 10 feet into the air by the impact. All three were sent to St. Barnabas Hospital.
Witnesses tried to hold the driver and two passengers in the car. The driver got away on foot and the passengers were taken into police custody. Police are investigating the accident.
