Homes for the Brave has begun an expansion of their headquarters to provide even more support to our veterans.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal joined the nonprofit in Bridgeport Friday for the groundbreaking ceremony.
The expansions includes a new elevator as well as 12 new private suites for residents on the second and third floors.
"So our veterans will have private rooms with their own restroom and that will facilitate infection control as well as privacy when our veterans have their telehealth appointments," said Vincent Santilli, CEO of Homes For The Brave.
Santilli says they aim to complete the new wing of the building by the end of the year.
