The holidays are here, and News 12 is helping you out.
Laurie Schacht, the president and chief toy officer at The Toy Insider, says when it comes to hot items, like the Ms. Rachel doll, you have to act fast.
Schacht says having a strategy is key saying, "We talk to our parents and grandparents and friends and aunts and uncles and share that list with them and tell them if they see it, grab it for you."
Also, experts say when looking for the hot toys avoid resale sites because people will try to sell them for a higher price.
Overall, plan on spending a bit more this shopping season. Schacht says, "I'm seeing that this year prices are a little bit higher overall. I am seeing those prices hit $59 and $79 and a little over a $100."
Still, she says whatever you budget, there is something for anyone on your list.
