560ds agoOrganizers of the Fundraiser for Ukraine: Craft Fair, Art Auction & Culturally Immersive Event at Housatonic Community College are spreading the word about the upcoming event.
They say there will be live performances, craft sales, activities for children and free parking. Organizer Briana Puvarnik says this fundraiser is important to her.
“I saw the pain that my best friend was going through in watching her country get destroyed,” says Puvarnik.
Waroslava Zamoyska says it was either cry over what was happening or do something.
“This is us trying to help people from afar,” says Zamoyska. “For me, I either sit here and cry or I do something.”
The event will take place Saturday, April 23 from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at 900 Lafayette Boulevard in Bridgeport.
A $2 donation is encouraged and all proceeds will go to help the people of Ukraine.
