A popular Bridgeport restaurant that highlights Mexican and Venezuelan cuisine opened its second location.
A ribbon-cutting was held Thursday for MilSabores's new location on Fairfield Avenue in the city's Black Rock neighborhood.
Owners Edwin and Yohana Mondragon started their culinary empire back in 2019 with a food truck based in Norwalk.
Edwin Mondragon tells News 12 he is thrilled by his business' success and the warm welcome they have received from the community.
"I gotta' pinch myself. You know, I can't believe it, you know, so much support from Bridgeport. Some very important people came by. They are very happy about us, what we have accomplished in so little time. Most of the time, it's me and my wife, the way that we work is, I give her an idea and she makes it happen, she makes all the dream work," he says.
Edwin Mondragon says his staff has grown from two to 14 over the years.
