A Stratford staple will continue to serve up great burgers and dogs after speculation the popular spot might close.
Local investors are in the process of buying Danny's Drive-In to become the fourth owner.
"People come in just happy, happy that we're open, happy that it's back. And it's just been a great experience with you know the locals and everything that they have to say and hearing they're memories so it's nice," said Laura Delorenzo, with Danny's Drive-In.
Danny's Drive-In started as a three season hamburger stand in 1935, and had to move to its current location in 1952 when Interstate 95 was built.
The new management is bringing back original recipes and maybe even car hops who come to cars to take orders.
"I want to bring history alive again," said Delorenzo.
Danny's reopened Friday and will have its grand reopening next month.
