Identity released of Stamford man killed in traffic light pole crash

Police say Johny Villard, 45, of Stamford, was driving a Porsche Cayenne eastbound on Jefferson Street when he failed to handle a curve in the road and crashed.

Stamford police released the identity of the man who died in a traffic light pole crash on Monday.
Police say Johny Villard, 45, of Stamford, was driving a Porsche Cayenne eastbound on Jefferson Street when he failed to handle a curve in the road and crashed.
The crash took place on Jefferson St at Magee Avenue.
He was taken to Stamford Hospital but later died from his injuries, police said.
