Hundreds of people who gathered in Westport to take buses to the March in Washington, D.C, in support of Israel were met with surprise early Tuesday morning.
They say they had two buses booked with US Coachways to take them down to the march.
But when the buses never showed up, Carin Savel, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Fairfield County, called the dispatcher.
Savel says the dispatcher told her there had been a scheduling error and the buses had been canceled.
Savel said the marchers took matters into their own hands and piled into 38 cars and drove to D.C.
Staff members at the Jewish Federation have been making calls all morning to find out exactly happened with the scheduling conflict and the busses but have no answers.
