Jonathan the Husky made an appearance at the State Capitol Friday.
UConn's famous mascot wants to make the Siberian Husky the official state dog.
Jonathan's handler read his testimony for him.
"Fourteen Huskies like me presided over the exciting history of the University of Connecticut. And while it's a great responsibility, I am excited to be the next iteration of a symbol that unifies and energizes Nutmeggers nationwide," says Laura Centanni.
Jonathan XV got the job last Sunday.
