A bill that would have let families sue nursing homes for coronavirus-related damages did not pass in the Judiciary Committee Friday.
A similar bill died in another committee last week.
Gov. Ned Lamont initially gave nursing homes immunity through an executive order, but later lifted it.
Another bill offering businesses immunity from COVID-19 claims as long as they followed public health guidance also did not pass.
