Thousands of people, young and old, are enjoying Fourth of July parades across Connecticut today.
The little ones are definitely stealing the show at the 17th annual Push-N-Pull Parade in Darien.
The holiday party started in the high school parking lot with children on bikes, scooters and wagons. They rolled through the streets ending at the VFW Post 6933 on Noroton Avenue in the parking lot adjacent to the Noroton Heights Fire Department and McGuane Field.
The festivities continue through the afternoon with food vendors and live entertainment, including the band Rockin' Rhythms with Mr. Ray, and children's activities. While it may just look like a normal Fourth of July celebration, families who've been attending for years say it's much more.
"We didn't have it in 2020 but we did have it last year…but there weren't as many families," says resident Roberta Brodis. "Today, I think it's going to be a full house."
