A Long Island Knicks fan is continuing his support for the NBA champions by embellishing his home with an orange and blue display that features more than 10,000 LED lights.

“I was always into lights as a kid,” Deer Park residentJames Hentschel said on Sunday. “I just feel totally creative when I’m doing it.”

Hentschel is known for his light displays for holidays and special events, but the Knicks theme is special.

“We’ve waited so long for a New York team to win a final. So night last night was great,” he said.

He said he spent more than 30 hours setting everything up, and it cost him a few thousand dollars. One advantage for him now is that never has to take the lights down. He can switch the colors and designs right on his phone to get ready for the next display.

Hentschel has had lots of support from his fellow Knicks fans over the past few days. He said seeing people get excited is the best part.

“It really warms my heart,” Hentschel said. “It makes it all worth it.”

His latest display can be seen on Namleps Lane.
