Gov. Ned Lamont says preparations are underway for the newly approved COVID-19 vaccine to be received in Connecticut as early as Monday.
He says he is ordering the Connecticut Department of Public Health make all necessary preparations in order for the vaccine to be received and then distributed, and allocated shortly thereafter to health care institutions and long-term care facilities across the state.
It comes after the first shipments of the Pfizer vaccine rolled out of a Michigan facility on trucks Sunday morning.
The shipments were expected to begin arriving in the states Monday.
