Dozens of fans gathered on Elm Street in New Canaan Thursday to look for Taylor Swift, in what turned out to be a rumor, according to US Weekly.

Posts on social media on Thursday afternoon recorded a large crowd of people claiming Swift and Travis Kelce were at the Elm restaurant.

New Canaan police were seen trying to control the crowd.

According to People.com, Swift was seen at a West Hollywood restaurant with Selena Gomez and Zoë Kravitz Thursday evening.
