The Connecticut Secretary of the State's Office is reminding residents the deadline to request an absentee ballot ahead of Election Day is today.
Ballots can be requested in-person at a town clerk's office by close of business Monday, Nov. 7.
Residents who've already obtained an absentee ballot, but have not mailed it in, can return it directly to their town clerk or place it in an official ballot drop box.
Official ballot drop boxes are typically located outside town halls.
Absentee ballots must be received by the close of the polls at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
There are specific rules regarding who can request an absentee ballot.
Residents planning to head to the polls Tuesday should ensure they're registered to vote. If not, Connecticut offers Election Day Registration.
Residents can register to vote at a designated Election Day Registration location.
