Laurel Road reopens after fallen tree removal

Laurel Road in New Canaan has reopened after a tree fell and knocked out power in the area. Police say the tree fell across some lines and knocked out electricity to about 125 homes at around 9 a.m.

Laurel Road in New Canaan has reopened after a tree fell and knocked out power in the area.
Police say the tree fell across some lines and knocked out electricity to about 125 homes at around 9 a.m. Police were forced to close the road for hours while crews worked to restore power.
They say no one was hurt.
There is no word on what caused the tree to come down.
