The state Capitol in Albany was under the watchful eye of many law enforcement officers on Inauguration Day.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered the security to be increased through inauguration following an FBI bulletin that there could potentially be protests at all 50 state capitols.
Officers patrolled the grounds on foot and in their vehicles. There was also the presence of K-9 units.
Barricades and signs have been in place at the Capitol since the warning from the FBI.
News 12 spoke with a supporter of former President Donald Trump who waved a flag at the Capitol. He says he heard other supporters were going to head to Albany on Inauguration Day, but there was no crowd to be seen.
"I wish no harm towards anybody, we all have our own opinions," he told News 12.
The Capitol, surrounding spaces and legislative offices have been closed to the public largely due to the pandemic. The Legislature was scheduled to be in session Wednesday, but they were the only ones authorized to be on the grounds.
