Long Beach held a fireworks show to commemorate the unofficial end of summer and the start of the Labor Day weekend on Friday.

Long Beach held a fireworks show to commemorate the unofficial end of summer and the start of the Labor Day weekend on Friday.
Residents were out on the boardwalk and beachfront to enjoy the fireworks spectacular.
Long Beach puts on the show for residents every year and Friday night's event was actually supposed to be take place on the weekend of Fourth of July, but it kept getting pushed off due to rainy weather.
There's also usually a concert beforehand, but in the interest of the public health, the concert was scrapped this year.
Nevertheless, residents said they were excited, and some have made it a family tradition.
For residents who may have missed the Long Beach fireworks show, Eisenhower Park in East Meadow will put on a show Saturday night.
