Thanks for joining us here on mornings on news 12 on a Friday, December 1st. I'm m mad and I'm Simon Choudry. So we've been talking about the rain. Will it affect our weekend plans? Let's check in with storm watch team. Meteorologist, Alex Calam. Not a bad start to December temperature wise though. Now it's true. It is cold out there this morning in the mid twenties for North Jersey, interior parts of the state only in the twenties, but we are all warming up very quickly. I want to take you to one of the cooler spots. Somerset County is sitting in the mid twenties right now. At Best Rocky Hill is 30. So you definitely need to jack it early but you don't get by mid morning, at least not the heavy jacket. You're sitting in the mid forties. The wind is very calm today but clouds are building and we have a chance for rain. It is after all the first day of December and on average temperatures are right around 49. So this is just about right for this time of the year. But by the end of the month, we go down to 41 for your average morning temperature on average by the end of the month, 28. And yeah, December typically is when we see our first snow of the season last year though. We didn't see our first inch of snow until February this weekend. We're just talking plain old rain and there could be plenty of it on Sunday. Saturday looks dry and cloudy and mild coming up. We'll show you what those numbers look like. Alex. Well, we're getting our hands dirty with color this morning and this week's road trip close to home, our Ally Reed and photojournalist, Matt Nash takes us to tipsy tidy in Hoboken. If you happen to find yourself along first street in Hoboken, you might just stumble upon a place that truly is to die for. Tipsy tie dye is exactly how it sounds. A little bit of tipsy, a little bit of die and a whole lot of fun. Let's check it out. The question is why tidy. Right. I think that it boils down to the universality of tidy, the inclusiveness of tidy, how it can bring people together not only creatively but anyone can do it. We're going to start looking at some diable merchandise. Do you want to see what we've got? Yes. But when you walk through the front door, this is what's staring you in the Absolutely. We have so many, I think it's only like 1600 different combinations to choose from. We have hoodies, we have sweatshirts, sweat pants, crop hoodies, tank top dresses, sweat shorts, options are endless. We are well known already for our teeny tie dye. Our birthday parties. We do children's events. We have lots of different things like bridal showers, bachelorette parties. Go ahead and see if that works for you. Look at this perfect. So we're gonna start with a swirl. I want you to first start with the front, facing downward. Make sure to keep constant pressure downwards and turn the fork to the speed of the rot history. Perfect. Are you telling me I should do that? Yes. Go for here we go. Just go slow for me. Ok. Ok. I got it. Yeah, you got it. How am I doing? You're doing great. All right. This is good. It looks amazing. It looks amazing. I love all the validation here. Go ahead and get gloves and aprons on. It's time to do colors. So the dye bar, you know, is pending. We definitely have do not drink on there because it is not filled with alcohol, but the color names are all alcohol related because we like a theme. How did you come up with the idea? It's quintessential to the business, you know, you, you needed a way to dispense color in a customer friendly way and this was the way it came out no matter what you want to create, we can help you do it. Oh, ok. I like that. We got your colors. We're ready to go walk me through the process of what I should be doing. Yeah. So separate colors should be given separate sections. You can make those sections as big or as small as you want them to be. But you want to cover the entire outside. I think sometimes that people get a little freaked out about tie dye because it's like, oh my gosh, it's gonna be so messy. Well, that's actually sort of the point of how we design the space. So you never have any mess. There's no clean up. It's all good. I'm very happy with how this turned out. I'm excited to see the final product and of course, we've come to the finale, the finale. I give you your bag to take home with you. I'm so excited. What kind of experience do you get at tipsy? You get to come in and have the best time. It's really about having a joyful moment.
