As the holidays draw near, Gina Pezzolanti is sharing her passion with Westchester and the Hudson Valley through her shop "Detailfully Yours."
"I've always just been a very crafty creative person," she said. "I'm a very hands-on person. I've been sewing and doing everything since I was about nine years old. I've just always liked to experiment with different things."
The idea of the shop began a little more than one year ago, when Pezzolanti was searching for the perfect Christmas gift for some of her family members.
"I was thinking of something I wanted to make for my sisters, and it was a jewelry tray," she explained. "So, I made it a little decorative and special for them. When they got it, they were just so excited. That led into looking up other videos on different techniques and seeing what is trending out there."
Since then, she has followed her passion, creating more items like coasters, ornaments, nutcrackers and more — all of which come from her heart.
"I'll take one item and then evolve it with different techniques like decoupage or painting," she said. "[I can] even add like a little bling and a little fun to it with rhinestones, pearls or disco tiles."
Since starting her shop, Pezzolanti says customers of all ages throughout Westchester and the Hudson Valley have become fans of her products.
"I've gotten so much positivity," she said. "Usually, I get the, 'Oh my God, this stuff is so cute,' and that makes me happy because that feeds into how my personality is...I actually had a 10-year-old girl who said my stuff was 'slay,' and I've honestly never been more flattered in my life."
Pezzolanti's products from "Detailfully Yours" can be purchased on the shop's Etsy page. They can also be bought at various craft fairs throughout the region. Pezzolanti's next appearance will be at the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers’ Market on Dec. 7.
