A Port Washington nonprofit is helping people with autism find meaningful work while running a growing business.
Spectrum Designs creates custom clothing and promotional products that are shipped to customers across the country. The organization was started in 2011 with a focus on creating more job opportunities for people with autism.
Today, employees work on everything from screen printing to embroidery and other custom orders.
For Spectrum Designs, the goal goes beyond making products. The organization says its work is about helping employees build skills, gain confidence, and feel connected to their community.
