The Fairfield man accused of stabbing a neighbor he thought was molesting his toddler appeared in a Bridgeport court Tuesday.Jon Edington, 29, waded past media camped out at the Fairfield County Courthouse on Main Street to answer charges that he killed his neighbor Barry James. Edington listened silently as the judge ordered him not to have any contact with James? parents, who still live next door to Edington. The case made headlines across the country after police say Edington stabbed James when he learned James may have sexually molested his 2-year-old daughter.According to a search warrant affidavit, the toddler told her mother she did not want to go home, mentioned James? name and pointed to her groin with two fingers. The girl then said [James] ?comes to me in the starry nights and asks me to make noises like hee haw and then it feels like rain.?Police are investigating the molestation claims. Edington will be back in court October 10.
