A Connecticut man faces charges for allegedly trying to run over his partner with a boat at a Stamford marina.
Police say boaters at Czescik Marina called Thursday after they saw a woman swimming erratically in her clothes, not a bathing suit. The victim told police she was trying to get away from 45-year-old Steven Winski. The woman says she jumped overboard after Winski choked her and wrapped a cord around her neck. According to police, Winski then tried to run her over, but hit another boat instead.
He tried to get away, but authorities later caught him. Winski faces a charge of attempted murder.
