Darien police have arrested a suspect connected to a string of overnight motor-vehicle burglaries and attempted break-ins reported between March 10 and March 11.

The incidents occurred in several neighborhoods, including Libby Lane, Holly Lane, Devon Road and Sunnyside Avenue.

During the investigation, detectives learned the suspects later used stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases at multiple businesses in Bridgeport.

Surveillance footage and witness statements helped identify the people involved.

Police say the suspects also sold a stolen item at a local pawn shop.

Through their investigation, detectives identified one of the suspects as 21-year-old Josiah Anderson, and Stamford Superior Court issued an arrest warrant.

Last week, Bridgeport police located Anderson and detained him. Darien officers then took custody of him and transported him to Darien police headquarters for processing.

Anderson was held on a $150,000 court-set bond after being unable to post bail. He was transported to Stamford Superior Court the following day.
