A 29-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Norwalk early Thursday morning, police say.
Police say they were called to Fairfield Avenue around 1 a.m. where they found Michael Moody with serious stab wounds.
He was transported to Norwalk Hospital, where he later died.
Police say it was the city's first deadly stabbing or shooting in two years. A person of interest is in police custody.

Authorities say the neighborhood is safe and called the stabbing an “isolated situation.”
Police taped off the streets surrounding the area for hours as they investigated into the early morning hours.
About 20 evidence markers were strewn out across the street, and the Norwalk Police Department's crime scene unit was on scene.
Ayesha Davis, a friend of Moody, called him “laid back.”
“He didn’t deserve to die,” she told News 12.
Police say a medical examiner will perform an autopsy and determine an exact cause of death.
