Bridgeport police say they expect to make an arrest soon in the death of a man who was shot inside a local restaurant last night.
Officers were called to the El Paraiso Restaurant on Madison Avenue at about 10 p.m. Sunday due to a fight that broke out among a group of customers.
When police arrived, they found 36-year-old Cristobal Hernandez shot in the chest. He was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he later died.
Police say security cameras inside the restaurant captured everything, and police know who they are looking for due to witnesses and the security footage.
"I am extremely confident, more than confident, that an arrest will be made in the very, very near future," says Chief AJ Perez.
The restaurant resumed normal business operations today.
