A man in the town of Orange was attacked and robbed while walking to milk cows, police say.

The man was attacked Saturday at the Fieldview Farm on Derby Avenue just after 4 a.m.

The victim told police that two people in dark face coverings approached him when he left his home to milk the cows.

He told police at least one of the suspects had a gun and that he was hit in the head and face several times before his wallet was stolen.

Police say the victim might have been unknowingly interrupting another theft when he was attacked and robbed.

Police say they found a battery-operated sawzall near vehicles on the farm during an investigation and that the tool is commonly used to cut catalytic converters from cars.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-891-2138.
