Police say a Bridgeport man was shot multiple times Saturday morning and the alleged shooter is in their custody.

It happened after 8 a.m. inside building No. 5 at the Greene Homes Apartment complex on Washington Avenue, police say.

Police told News 12 what started as an argument between two men ended with one of them being shot multiple times in the abdomen and at least once in the groin on the building's sixth floor.

The man was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center in critical condition. Police have not yet released the name of the suspect.

The shooting comes just days after a 10-month-old boy was killed here in the city's eighth homicide of the year.
