Police say an afternoon robbery Tuesday at the People?s Bank on Sound Beach Avenue nearly ended with an arrest, until a canine unit lost the robber near local train tracks.
Police say the suspect threatened a teller, demanded money and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say no one was hurt in the robbery.
