2ds agoA Norwalk gas station employee was robbed at gunpoint during a string of crimes that took place in several towns along Route 1.
The manager of Mobil Mart on North Avenue in Norwalk shared surveillance pictures of the suspect they say robbed an employee at gunpoint around 8:55 p.m. Thursday.
A co-owner of Global Gas Station down the street says one of his Food Mart employees was robbed at gunpoint too just minutes before.
Police in Darien say Darien Discount Wines & Spirits on Boston Post Road was also the scene of an armed robbery a half-hour before the Global Gas Station was robbed.
The suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money and took off with cash from the register in each case.
No one was hurt.
Police did not say if they believe the robberies are connected.
