Hundreds attended a march in Bridgeport Sunday in memory of 24-year-old Heriberto Marquez, who was killed in a shooting one week ago.
The event was organized by the victim's family, along with school board member Bobbi Brown, with marchers walking down Norman Street and ending at Wentfield Park.
Marquez's death was one of three slayings that took place over a three-day period.
The victim's uncle called the march "a step in the right direction towards ending gun violence."
Family members say Marquez was a cousin of 22-year-old murder victim Karla Bermudez, who was killed the following day along with her unborn child.
