Two members of the Milford Board of Education say contrary to published reports, the school superintendent has not been offered a buyout nor has it been discussed.
The New Haven Register reported that Dr. Greg Firn was expected to accept a buyout package at Monday?s Board of Education meeting. Dr. Firn reportedly supported a coach accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Last week, the Board of Education reprimanded Firn and said it would take a look at his contract, which ends in June.
Meanwhile, Mayor James Richetelli says the board is expected to meet Monday and that Firn will certainly be a topic of discussion. The mayor adds it's probably the best option for everyone involved for Firm to resign. The superintendent's office would not comment on Dr. Firn's plans.
