The city of Milford is preparing for coastal flooding as a winter storm batters the area.
The Milford Fire Department has a plan in place to warn residents of flooding. High tide is expected at 1:20 p.m. The fire department has engine companies dispatched to monitor flooding areas and will alert residents to evacuate if necessary.
Although the National Weather Service has dropped its coastal flood warning for the area, residents are advised that flooding will still be an issue.
