Descendants of Milford?s founding families gathered Saturday to pay homage to their relatives and to show appreciation for the city.

Lee Merwin, who lives in Dallas, is a descendant of Miles Merwin. Merwin joined members of the Treat and Platt families. The three families helped found Milford in 1640. The families shared pictures, memorabilia and took in a historic tour after lunch during the reunion.

The families say they?re proud their names and legacies live on in Milford all these years later. They say they hope the city will continue to grow.
