The Milford Scouts held its 20th annual Thanks4Giving Food Drive.

Dozens of volunteers from Troop 1, Milford Family Services and others, gathered to kick off the event with a strategic plan to not only collect donations, but sort the items to present a bountiful package to families in need.

The scouts will work around the clock all weekend collecting, sorting and delivering food packages to local families in need. They are accepting donations of frozen turkeys, non-perishable food items and monetary contributions that will be dispersed.

Organizers say that people appreciate them showing up to the door with a basket of food to help them during these hard times, especially those who have limited transportation or even disabled residents.
