As Memorial Day fast approaches, Milford officials say they're keeping the celebration smaller this year.
They say due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city's annual Memorial Day parade has been shelved for the second year in a row.
Milford's Veterans Ceremony and Parade Commission will host a patriotic concert on the steps of City Hall followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the war monuments on the city green.
Commission Chairman Tom Flowers says he's looking forward to when the town can safely come back together for a proper parade, and he's eyeing this November.
Parades in other cities are still planned throughout Fairfield County for Memorial Day.
