Mill Hill Elementary School holds groundbreaking for new renovations

Mill Hill Elementary School held a groundbreaking ceremony this morning after it was delayed for months during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
The ceremony was supposed to take place in the spring, which was when crews broke ground, but was moved to the fall because of COVID-19.
The project consists of renovating the inside of the current building and adding on to it.
Mill Hill's principal says this will allow the school to better meet the needs of students and no longer use portable classrooms.
The project has been in the works for 16 months, but has been a town priority for years.
Construction has not been impacted by COVID-19, but safety procedures have been put in place for workers, officials say.
