Multiple dive teams and marine units were searching for a person who reportedly jumped off a rock at Candlewood Lake and never resurfaced.

A 20-year-old male has gone missing while swimming in Candlewood Lake Friday.

Officials say the swimmer went missing near Chicken Rock.

DEEP Environmental Conservation Police, the Candlewood Lake Authority along with numerous local fire departments and dive teams responded.

The search was suspended Friday and resumed Saturday.

DEEP says the the public is being asked to stay away from Green Island and Chicken Rock while the search is ongoing.
