More state workers let go in budget cuts

The layoffs continue in state government as Gov. Dannel Malloy and state lawmakers try to reduce the budget deficit.
The Office of Policy and Management says 28 workers at the Departments of Correction and Mental Health and Addiction Services received layoff notices yesterday.
So far, a total of 546 employees have lost their jobs. More cuts are expected.
