Police and animal control officers removed more than 20 dogs and enough garbage to fill several dumpsters from a home in Bridgeport.
The Trumbull Avenue home is the last place Jason Pucci and Maria Menoscal lived. The couple was involved in an accident last Thursday where a U-Haul box truck flipped over and crashed on I-95 south in Fairfield. Police found a box of 10 puppies and numerous guns in the truck.
Police and animal control officers say 21 English Bull Mastiffs were removed from home. Most of the dogs seemed to be in pretty good shape with only three needing veterinary care.
Meanwhile, Menoscal is still in serious condition at Norwalk Hospital. State police say the guns found in the box truck on I-95 are all legally registered.
