A Connecticut mother says she is increasing a reward meant to entice information about the 2021 fatal shooting of her son in Williamsbridge that has so far been unsolved.
On what would have been Hednick Wynaar’s 24th birthday, his mother Nicole raised the reward from $10,000 to $20,000.
"If anybody knows anything please help me,” she said. “I will give you the reward. Just come forward and tell me."
The NYPD says Hednick was sharing a scooter with a friend along Adee and Colden avenues in Williamsbridge on Halloween night when four gunmen opened fire from a grey Honda. One of those bullets struck Hednick in his head. He was taken to New York Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead.
Anyone with information about the fatal shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
